We are three old friends. Very old. We grew up together.
We spent most of our adolescence making mix tapes, and cruising the aisles of Sound Warehouse
(and Peaches). We all love music.
After high school graduation: we went to 3 different parts of the country: Los Angeles Charlottesville and Austin.
This was the eighties, music was still regional, and we continued to cultivate varied taste in tunes.
We ramped up the mix tapes even more so, mailing them to each other. We took road trips just so we could listen to music together. Basically, we like to nerd out on music.
And today, decades later, we share our finds, opinions on this podcast: Such a Good Song
On each episode, one of us picks a concept for a PLAYLIST (or mixtape). Separately - we come up with selections - and then come together to pitch them on the spot, not aware of the other’s choices. Banter ensues. Music is played.
And the podcast culminates with a collaborative playlist for your listening pleasure up on SPOTIFY.
SUCH a GOOD SONG is recorded in Dallas, Texas At Tomcast Studios.
We are: Greg Rhodes, Frank Hamlin and Lucy Wrubel
